Antonio was born in Amantea, Cosenza, Italy, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1971, settling in Corona, Queens, N.Y. He later lived in Huntington, N.Y., prior to returning to Amantea, Italy. In 1997 Tony returned to the U.S. and established a permanent residence in Belleville, where he remained with his family for the rest of his lifetime. Antonio was an internationally recognized women's clothing designer, an assistant in the employ of Oscar de la Renta, New York City, for 14 years, retiring in 2007. During his celebrated career he created clothing for two U.S. presidential first ladies, Mrs. Laura Bush and Mrs. Hillary Clinton. It was not uncommon for Tony to travel to the White House for fitting appointments with the first lady. Over the years Tony and his family were invited guests of the first family, attending White House Christmas holiday functions during the Bush and Clinton administrations. Tony continued to make clothing for Hillary Clinton as she transitioned to Senator Clinton. Antonio's client portfolio was an international index of "Who's Who." A sampling of his devotees were Mrs. Kissenger, Sarah Jessica Parker, Candice Bergen, and heads of state worldwide. In addition, he created runway clothing for Oscar de la Renta Fashion Shows. Antonio possessed an inexhaustible passion in his professional pursuit of creative perfection in the assembling of women's fashion designs. Tony was unequivocally established as a devoted soccer enthusiast, right to the end of his life. Notwithstanding the acclaim he achieved, Tony was a genuinely modest and humble gentleman whose focus was his family first. He unconditionally loved his precious wife, his beautiful children and grandchildren. Home was a place were he felt complete and his heart was satisfied. Tony is the beloved husband of Rosa Maria; the devoted father of Felicia Muia and her husband, Giorgio; Natalie and Anthony Munno; the cherished grandfather of two grandchildren; the treasured son of Mrs. Anna Munno of Italy and the late Oreste Munno and the loving brother of two sisters and a brother, all residing in Italy.

A livelli “alti”, molto alti.
